The final image with line work and colour generated in Illustrator. The line and colour are kept as flat and simple as possible, with a limited palette creating a definite 'retro' feel to add to the sense of nostalgia.

 

Here you can see I have added tone to the linework, this image will act as a guide for shadow placement when the image is finalised in Illustrator.

 

 

Here is the initial drawing, the idea was to create a sense of space and carefree energy. The drawing was created in Manga Studio 5 using the pen tool.
